What Is A CSA?
CSA stands for community supported agriculture. It’s a wonderful concept where the consumer and the farmer share both the risks and the rewards of fresh local food. As a Ready FL Farm CSA Member, you register & start to pay before the season begins to help us get the seeds and supplies so that we can start planting the upcoming season’s crops. Then, you share in the risk and reward of the season ahead. If nature blesses the season, your portion of the harvest is full of the bounty that we all share in. If nature is harsh, we all share in the diminished harvest.
Our particular CSA is of the subscription model. A subscription CSA does not require field time from the participants (but you are always welcome to help – and can often snack when helping).
About Our CSA Program
To begin, we do our CSA a little different than most other CSAs. We don’t have EXACT dates because nature will tell us when the harvest begins and ends – not a calendar. It may start or end a few weeks earlier or later because it’s not a grocery store – it’s real, locally grown food. Once the season begins and depending on what specific subscription you registered for, you can expect a weekly/biweekly “share” of the harvest. We currently offer three (3) different “share” sizes – the Half Share (feeds 1-2 people), the Full Share (feeds 3-4 people), & the Extended Share (feeds 5-6 people). Since we live in a relativity warm region, we are blessed to offer four (4) seasons per year.
The majority of our crops are grown aquaponically, which allows our crops to grow quicker, tastier, and most importantly healthier. You can be assured that we do not use any harmful pesticides or chemicals to deal with pests, fungi, or other plant diseases, as that would also harm our fish and our aquaponic ecosystem. Instead we use permaculture techniques to ward off anything trying to disrupt our crops (i.e. beneficial insects, distract/sacrifice plants, etc.).
What If I’m Interested?
Yes, I’m READY! I want to signup now. Great! Click the “CSA Membership Registration” below to being the enrollment process.

You also want to make sure you are on our CSA newsletter mailing list to be notified about upcoming the CSA season. If this is your first time registering, you will be automatically enrolled into our CSA newsletter.
What If I Don’t Make The Cut?
Don’t take it personally – we are not a large operation and have a limited number of slots. But also don’t give up – there’s always next season! In the meantime, you can still sign-up for our CSA newsletter and maybe visit us at a local farmers market! You may want to learn about utilizing local and seasonal food or may just be looking for a source of fresh produce that you trust. Either way, we plan to provide amazing recipes on this website when the produce are delivered. So by staying tuned in, you can learn which vegetables/fruits are harvested together and what you should be looking for at local farmers markets.
